Our materials
Resource-saving
When selecting our materials, we exclusively use the best quality from trusted manufacturers. Our woods, from which beautiful wooden lamps are created through an elaborate process, have the FSC certification.
The goal and challenge of the FSC is to ensure ecologically sustainable, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of forests worldwide. The wood veneers consist of 100% real wood, which is produced in Germany according to our specifications. Considering the high standards we set for the quality and durability of our lamps, this is of crucial importance. We use a process that makes the thin wood of the lamps extremely resilient. At the same time, their flexibility and unique grain are preserved.
MODULARITY
At Gofurnit, the philosophy of modularity is at the heart of our sustainable and flexible designs. We have developed a modular system that allows our lights from the Veneria collection to be used as pendant, wall, or floor lamps, and to be effortlessly adapted to different room situations.
Free choice of light sources & reconstructability
Our modular construction allows for the easy replacement of all individual parts. This not only provides a practical solution in case of damage but also the opportunity to adjust and change the design afterwards. This significantly extends the lifespan of the lamp, which is both economically sensible and ecologically sustainable.
Additionally, the modular lighting mood offers the possibility to choose light sources according to individual needs. Whether bright light for work or cozy light for relaxed evenings – our lamps are compatible with all LED E27 light sources, allowing for flexible adjustments of light intensity, color, and direction.
This modular approach promotes the durability and adaptability of our products and demonstrates that sustainable design can both protect the environment and enrich our daily lives. At Gofurnit, we believe that innovative solutions can be both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
Individually designed
Handmade in Cologne
Our lights are made with a lot of love and in elaborate handcraft. Each light is unique, even if they resemble each other in shape and form.
By using naturally grown woods, each log has its own vibrant grain, which is particularly highlighted when thinly sliced and oiled. Each strip is hand-selected by us and combined with other matching wood strips. Our goal is to produce no waste from our woods, as we stand for sustainability and a conscious approach to natural resources. From the offcuts, we create bookmarks or decorative bowls, ensuring that no tree has grown in vain.
