Wood types and materials
Our lights are made from high-quality real wood veneer, which is characterized by exceptional durability and extraordinary robustness. This special veneer is not brittle, but tear and break resistant, making it ideal for use in our products. The veneer we use, certified by FSC, is sourced from a renowned company near Augsburg and features a specially developed fabric structure that further enhances its stability and durability.
We offer every light in the wood types oak, olive ash, walnut, amber tree, and cherry tree. You can order a free wood sample set including information material on all wood types on our website.
Our lights are available in the wood types oak, olive ash, cherry, amber, and walnut. Each tree, each type of wood, and each strip of our veneer is unique. The grain patterns can always exhibit different shapes and characteristics. This makes working with wood and using natural materials so special. Here are some features of the different types of wood:
- Oak: Robust and durable wood with a uniform, distinctive grain.
- Olive Ash: Exceptional wood with vibrant grain patterns and color variations.
- Cherry: Elegant wood with fine, uniform grain and a reddish hue.
- Amber: Decorative wood with unique color gradients and interesting grain patterns.
- Walnut: Dark, noble wood with a fine structure and pronounced, attractive grain.
Since we rely on naturally grown woods in the processing of our lights, the lights may always differ slightly from the image. The natural grain of trees varies from trunk to trunk and is therefore always somewhat unique.
However, we make sure to meet your wishes as best as possible and select the veneer with the most suitable grain for you.
Yes. Our real wood veneer has a specially developed fabric structure that makes the wood extremely durable and stable. For sustainability reasons, we do not use plastic wrap, but only package the lights in paper. They usually arrive intact at our customers' locations. If a wood strip or the light does arrive damaged, just send us an email and we will take care of a replacement.
It's best to order a wood sample on our website. This way, you can hold the veneer strips directly against your furniture or flooring and more easily decide what goes well together. In general, we recommend sticking to the same type of wood if you prefer a simple look. However, if you want to create a contrast, choose wood types with striking grains for a special focal point.
No, our wood sample sets are there to help you easily choose the right type of wood. Once that is done, you can take out the golden rivet and then have 5 individual bookmarks to give as gifts to friends and family.
Our lights from the Veneria Pure collection are the first lights made entirely of wood. Normally, the individual veneer strips of our lights are attached to a transparent body located in the middle of the light. The Veneria Pure collection does without this transparent cylinder. Instead, the individual veneer strips are held together by a combination of two wooden rings and four diagonal struts made of wood veneer.
Modularity
Our lights from the Veneria collection can be mounted as ceiling, pendant, floor, and wall lights. In our shop, you will find the right accessories. So if you have a Veneria pendant light, you can order our metal tripod later and mount the light on it. Alternatively, you can also order a wall light socket and mount the light on the wall or directly on the ceiling. This modularity allows for a variety of applications for a light.
The modular construction of our Veneria lights offers numerous advantages and flexibility. Individual strips of the light can be easily replaced, for example, in case of damage during shipping or moving. This feature allows you to easily repair or adjust the light without having to replace the entire fixture.
The modular lighting mood allows you to customize the light atmosphere of your Veneria lamp according to your preferences. You can use any LED E27 bulb, giving you the freedom to choose the light intensity, color selection, and beam direction. Whether you want bright light for working or cozy light for relaxing evenings – you decide.
With the modular lighting mood, you can flexibly adjust the function of your lamp. For example, a floor lamp with a suitable LED bulb can be used as a ceiling floodlight. This versatility allows you to optimally tailor the lighting to different situations and needs.
Yes, you can continue to use your existing E27 socket and do not have to use ours. It is important that the thread has a screw ring to attach the lampshade to the socket.
Light & Care
All our lights come with a canopy and an E27 lamp socket. In general, we always recommend LED light bulbs, as they are more environmentally friendly and longer-lasting. They also save on electricity costs and need to be disposed of or replaced up to 50 times less frequently. For our wooden lights, a warm white light with a wattage between 7 and 12 watts is recommended, but LED light bulbs up to 20 watts can be used. On our website, you will find a detailed light bulb guide.
Simply put, light-colored woods provide better light output because they reflect more light, while dark woods absorb more light. The light veneer allows more brightness than the dark stripes of a walnut lamp. Note that the size of the lamp also has an impact: lamps with a larger diameter let through more light than smaller ones. A mix of wood types is only available upon request. Whether you prefer many light woods or everything in a dark wood type is, of course, a matter of taste.
Our lights are very low maintenance. Thanks to their shatterproof and tear-resistant construction, they can be easily cleaned with a slightly damp cloth or a duster. Additionally, very little dust adheres to the wood, as it is finely sanded and UV-lacquered. The vertical orientation of the strips ensures that dust mostly falls through and does not accumulate.
