Interesting facts about wood
As you may already know, the annual rings of wood reveal the age of the tree. Each ring represents a year of growth. But what else do annual rings indicate? The width of the rings provides information about the living conditions. Thin rings may be due to drought or pest infestations. The wider the rings, the better the tree is doing. Oval rings are usually found in trees that are exposed to strong winds or grow on slopes.
High standards for quality
When selecting our materials, we exclusively use the best quality from trusted manufacturers. Our woods, which we source from a German company, are certified according to the FSC standard and are processed into beautiful wooden lamps.
The goal and challenge of the FSC standard is to ensure ecologically sustainable, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of forests worldwide. The wood veneers consist of 100% real wood, which is produced in Germany according to our specifications. Considering the high demands we place on the quality and durability of our lamps, this is of crucial importance. Our wood veneer is a custom-made product with an extra-developed fabric structure, which makes the thin wood of the lamps extremely resilient. At the same time, their flexibility and unique grain remain intact.

Fine selection
You can get our lights in five different types of wood. The options include walnut, oak, olive ash, cherry wood, and amber wood. But how do you decide, and how do you know which types of wood go well together? Basically, you can orient yourself around light and dark types of wood. For a light dining table, for example made of oak, it would be advisable to choose one of our light wooden lights, such as oak, olive ash, or amber wood. If the lamp is not in direct proximity to other wooden furniture, you can opt for one of our unique wooden lights, for example made of zebra wood. Easy to care for and durable
The wood we use to build our lamps is extremely durable and very easy to care for. The wood veneer is oiled by us and sealed with a UV lacquer, which prevents the wood from fading due to sunlight exposure. Thanks to the spirally arranged stripes, you won't have to deal with dust deposits, and the high-quality wood with a very smooth surface requires no special care. If you ever want to clean your lamp, a simple duster or a slightly damp cloth for wiping is recommended.
