The pendant light from the 'Mela' collection is available in six different types of wood: oak, olive ash, European walnut, dark amber wood, cherry wood, and zebrano. The light offered here is made from dark amber wood.
This collection was designed for the opening of the _blaenk store on Schildergasse in Cologne. The wood veneers extend sideways from the light body at the top and then spiral diagonally downwards, where they are pulled back inwards in a semicircle and reattached. This creates a perfectly round lampshade when viewed from the side. The pendant light is suitable for round or square dining tables or, in a double version, it becomes a real highlight over elongated tables.
